And it Continues ...

Well this past week was not as drama filled as the past but there is still that lingering tension in the air from the last big blowup. Roommates not speaking to one another, old friends completely ignoring one another, and random blow ups from the most unexpected people. Last week was full of stress from exams, fights, papers, and just lack of sleep in general. This week was finally more relaxed and things are starting to settle out. What it is time to focus on now it getting a job. being broke while at college is probably one of the most nerve wracking things because you never have any money to do anything at all. If you want food late at night, or just to go out to eat with some friends, it can never happen because of your lack of money. Yes when I go home I get a few dollars here and there from my parents, but I hate being dependent on their money, I want my own.

This Wednesday Rob's mom made us a wonderful dinner once again. We finally all got to sit down in the common room together like a family again. It had been a while since we were all to sit together without there being too much tension in the room. Two of our friends are in a huge fight and the one is ignoring the other, but as of this week, that has lessened. It's good to see the two of them at least speaking again even though they may not exactly be friends.

The fights and the drama will continue, but I just hope things continue to improve in the next week. Maybe this week I'll find a job, keep my grades up, and avoid even more stress.

High School Never Ends

Well this week was more than stressful for more than half of our friends. Between relationship drama as always, tons of homework, exams, papers, and of course friendships that are just ripping apart at the seams, the emotions in the family have been through every stage you could possibly think of.

On a happy note, our friend Cait and her boyfriend of one year finally got to see one another. While this sounds weird, it is. Her boyfriend lives in England and they met over the computer last year. None of us truly know the entire story here, but now that we've all met him, we know the story was real. Dan is a charming boy with an English accent that we all love and we can see that he really does care for Cait, which is what we really care about.

Monday was Valentines day and for my entire life I have never truly appreciated this so-called holiday. Not to sound corny, but this year was absolutely different because I actually had someone who cared about me and wanted to show it by taking me out. We've only been together a few months, but spending Valentine's day with him was special and I enjoyed every single second of it.

After our precious moments with one another, all of our friendships have blown up way beyond anything before. A few of us had some issues in the past semester but those had drifted off and forgotten about, so we thought. Little did we know they were bringing up the issues again dragging another mutual friend into it. Well that friend turned on us and things blew up way out of proportion. Long story short, there are a few people not speaking to me and its not so enjoyable. All I can o is brush it off and move on because I don't want to be in high school anymore.

That stupid little fight that turned into a big one did not help the stress of my week. between two exams, a paper, and plenty of reading, quizzes, classes, and cheerleading I have been mentally exhausted for days. This weekend is set aside to catching up on reading, sleeping, studying, and friendships that are still close to me.

Fun, Family, and Drama

Well this past week has been quite the dramatic one. To start off, some new friendships have been created, but some are quickly starting to drift away. Some relationships on the floor we believe have gotten to a point where they have just taken it too far. While not going into detail because it is not my business or anyone else's, all I will say is this has been affecting who gets along on the floor and who is friends with one another. The problem got to a point where nobody could even take it and everything was put out on the table and each person was confronted with the problems. Most of them have been resolved and it is a little more peaceful here on b100.

Aside from the fights, there is always the constant laughing that is going on. Last weekend we were able to throw a small super bowl party in the common room. We all chipped in for pizza and snacks and drinks for everyone to enjoy while enjoying a very good game a football and what we thought was an amazing halftime show. We shared a lot of laughs and joked with eachother the entire night. Nights like this are what makes us such a family.

Once again, there were pranks on the floor due to the fact that NOBODY locks their door. While nothing gets stolen or broken and nobody has any reason not to trust one another, still they should know something will happen if their door is unlocked. Our friend pennsy made a threat to duct tape someones bed to their ceiling. When hearing this, while pennsy was gone, my boyfriend Justinn and best friend Jasmine saran wrapped everything they could find in his room to his bed. the entire bed was covered when he came in to find his room wrecked. Nothing of course was destroyed, but the look on his face was priceless. Maybe he learned his lesson by now ...

Finally, this past week a few of us went to the mall to shop a little, but mainly for jobs. After going into at least ten stores of interest, we received the same answer from every one - "We're not hiring, but always accepting applications." Losing hope, we got rid of the applications we took and left the mall. By them telling us that is basically a nice way of saying you won't get hired.

Well there are always stories to come here on b100 and this will continuee on for the rest of the semester.

A quiet, but simple a B100 week

Well this week was kind of a dull one, but our family made the absolute best of it as always. To start off, we spent every second that we had free, or the time we should have been doing our homework and studying, a small group of us huddled in one room and played Fifa '11 for Xbox. While it sounds like a waste of time, the joy we get out of playing this silly game is insane. We laugh, we yell and scream at one another, but yet while on separate teams in the game still live together as a family.

One of the nights we were crammed into that little room playing Fifa, the annoying and piercing sound of the fire alarm started to go off. Knowing it was a drill, we all got up and walked outside without question. I didn't know that it happened to be snowing that night and didn't wear my shoes so I ended up jumping onto my boyfriend's back for the entire time we stood outside. Once we were allowed back inside, only our group of friends would enjoy turning the lights off and dancing to the blinking lights of the fire alarm, to our own music, until it went off. The smallest things amuse this group of college students.

This past week, our good friend Rob's mom decided she wanted to make a dinner for the entire floor and family. She made delicious Chicken Parmesan with Tortellini which made everyone happy. Being the odd one in the family, I needed a special plate made for me since I don't eat spaghetti sauce ... except for pizza. Rob's mom was thanked a million times and her idea was more than appreciated.

Lately we've been having a few problems with some of the friends in our "family" but we've been doing our best to work through  it and not make it worse. We love each other as we love our own family, and we have the best time when we're all together.
